Elevation Answers
Along with the worksheet, a report is to be submitted (written or presented). Use information gathered on the worksheet to help prepare the report. Explain the information that you gathered. State its relevance to the parameters you will be setting on your wing designs. Answers will vary. Students will produce a report of their findings. Angle of model on bicycle (angle to horizontal): 5º Record your observations during the bicycle's movement. Trial One with 25 grams - distance traveled: 50m time taken : 20s Calculate the speed of each trial: Trial One: 2.5m/s (9 km/hr) Trial Two: 3.3 m/s (12 km/hr) Trial Three: 4.2m/s(15 km/hr) Elevation found on FoilSim for: Trial One: 0 Calculate the average elevation of the three trials: 0 In your report, compare the average elevation you calculated to your actual elevation. (You can look up information on the Internet.) Using the error analysis methods we have discussed, calculate the error involved and the reasons for this error. (Answers will vary) |
